We recently hosted a series of conversations with leaders in the fields of employee experience, performance management and HR to discuss the impact of the most significant changes in work practices in over a century. We compiled the highlights, tips and tricks, frameworks and inspirational thoughts from the world’s foremost thought leaders in HR.

Tara Nolan, Host of The Game of Teams podcast, shared her insights about a new way to manage teams and 360 feedback for managers:

“We could talk about generative teams and distributed teams. The leader is actually taking almost a seat at the table, there’s isn’t that formality and distance between leader and member and follower, it’s quite equal. So it’s lowering the deference threshold and allowing much more distributed responsibility. And often that comes through with a conversation that I have with teams about managing expectations. What are the expectations the team has of the leader and and vice versa, and managing that so there’s much more equality? There’s much more generative, curious conversation happening, and really much more presence. So you know, it’s not it’s not an easy ask of teams to move from what was old, which is usually ‘manager-led’ and there’s a lot of ‘broadcasting’ that used to happen. And I don’t mean to be in any way disrespectful. But it’s much more participative. Now, there’s much more shared, its much more egalitarian as espoused by distributed teams.”
