We recently hosted a series of conversations with leaders in the fields of employee experience, performance management and HR to discuss the impact of the most significant changes in work practices in over a century. We compiled the highlights, tips and tricks, frameworks and inspirational thoughts from the world’s foremost thought leaders in HR.

Kevin Empey, Managing Director of WorkMatters shared his insights about the skills needed to help you adapt and thrive:

“Just to give you a sense of what that adaptive skill set looks like we researched what does this look like in human terms in behavior terms? What are the observed skills and behaviors that people show in terms of enable to thrive in a disrupted environment, which we can see right right now? These are not new to you but the context of them is this sort of disruption around around work, learning mindset and the whole growth mindset idea. We see change orientation, your resilience to change your orientation, and attitude change, your ability to be able to get control and to feel that you have control autonomy, and empowerment, relationship management, that ability to be able to connect, that social capital idea to reach out and to source others and of course, collaboration, working with others. But by far if you look at the research is very interesting around resilience and around agility. purposefulness comes in so, so much – the ability to be able to just study yourself and to be able to understand “What I’m doing, where am I going?” I’m clarifying in my mind what I do to self direct into self motivation. ”
